You know how to hurt a longhorn. I actually agree with you about Barnes, 10 of the best players in the nation and not even in the top 25. Mac Brown on the other hand, I have to take offence. Two shots at a national championship and he brought one home (and maybe could have had the second if his quarterback hadn't been hurt in the first quarter). That is a pretty elite class of coach. Teams like UConn and Tennessee women's bball got out way ahead of the curve and established a great history at a point in time where a lot of universities were paying scant attention to their own programs. I don't completely begrudge them their dynasty, since they took the bull by the horns and built their infrastructure before other people. Having said that, I'm waiting for someone to throw a leash around the Huskies. The Big XII women's tourney should be great to watch - especially when the ISU women knock off the Hucksters :) I think there is a bit of chicken and egg situation with some sports like women’s basketball.
