I'm a Phillies fan, so I remember Andrew Jones in his Braves' days, as one of the best players around. It was amazing how he dropped off the radar so quickly. There's been suspicion cast his way given the controversies in the game today with steroids, etc. I wasn't aware of how he was doing this year until I read your post.Interesting thought on warranties. I doubt we'll see them go away, because it would take a joint effort from manufacturers and our legislators (not to mention it would need to pass consitutional muster) as most or all states provide for warranties as a matter of law. I don't know that I like the idea anyway. If I buy a car that is a dud and has a part that breaks due to some defect, who should bear the burden of the manufacturer's mistake?
